SOLD OUT. The Sounds of Tea: Sound Performance and Tea Ceremony on 14 April @3pm (Subtile x Ryodo)
Witness the live performance of the artists Francesco and Andrea STRIZZI, brothers, who will create sounds directly on the future artworks to be exhibited.
“𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗟’𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔”, a duo exhibition of “sound sculptures” composed of two projects: “Toccare il suono”, by Andrea Strizzi and “Relazioni Invisibili” by Francesco Strizzi. These two different elements combined create an itinerant exhibition in an immersive listening space.
THE IMPACT OF BAGUETTES AND OTHER INSTRUMENTS ON THE FRESH EARTH CREATES SOFT AND ENNIVERATING SOUNDS. This project materialises the relationship between tactile and auditory perception through the necessary interaction of the spectator, who is invited to touch the works while listening to the sounds produced during their creation. The project was born out of the desire to give visually impaired people the chance to visit and experience artists’ creations using their other senses in the same way as sighted people.
Marie-Paule Greisen then came up with the opportunity to propose a Japanese tea ceremony in partnership with the highly coveted Michelin-starred RYODO restaurant in Luxembourg.
This ceremony will be guided by the traditional gestures of Ms Harumy Hayashi, who is Japanese and moreover a trained sommelier in Japanese saké.
And to complete the picture, our favourite ceramist, Cathy Deprez, will be making the traditional Japanese bowls in which you will enjoy your matcha tea.
The price includes:
– the artistic sound performance in the presence of the artists
– tea and 3 Japanese mignardises made by chef Ryodo KAJIWARA from the restaurant RYODO
– a tea bowl handmade especially for the ceremony by Cathy Deprez
