Catherine Lebrun

Join us for a week of Mixed Wheel Throwing and Sculpture (minimum 4 hours per day) in a traditional Breton house, perfectly situated just meters from the breathtaking coastline of the Golfe du Morbihan.

An Enriching Experience
This retreat offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the craft of ceramics while enjoying the tranquil and inspiring natural surroundings of Brittany. We’re excited to share that each proposal from Subtile Gallery is curated to evoke emotions and foster connections. We’ve listened to our students, responding to their desires for enriching experiences, and are thrilled to take this idea beyond the confines of traditional walls.
We’ll be staying with a former frame-maker for some of the most prestigious galleries in Paris, who has a treasure trove of stories and anecdotes to share. This setting fosters a friendly, supportive, and carefree atmosphere, perfect for discovering your creative potential.
Meet Our Instructor

You’ll be learning from the talented Belgian ceramist Cathy Deprez of Terrecterra. Cathy recently participated in the Collectible Design Brussels fair, where she showcased her innovative organic fireplace that revisits traditional designs. Renowned for her kindness and technical expertise in enamels, Cathy embraces a more organic approach to clay, allowing each participant the freedom to explore their artistic vision while providing the necessary guidance to make your creations come to life.
Accommodation and Setting

Your home for the week will be a charming local house that accommodates both single and shared rooms. With only 8 spots available, this intimate setting ensures personalized attention and guidance throughout your creative journey. The first registrants will benefit from private rooms, and photos of the house and rooms are available upon request.
You will be working in a light-filled veranda with views of the beautiful flower gardens, allowing inspiration to flow freely as you alternate between wheel throwing and sculpture.

Nature Walks and Activities
Expect to step outside the studio and into nature, perfect for refreshing your mind and body. Our host is passionate about invigorating long walks, and we’ll explore the stunning surroundings of the Golfe du Morbihan, discovering its flavors and landscapes.
