A new immersive format to accelerate your practice

At Subtile, we believe in learning through experience. This one-week intensive wheel course is designed to help you progress quickly through daily, hands-on practice.

In a space where art, design, and craftsmanship coexist, you’ll be guided step by step to develop confidence and technique.

Concept:

OPTION 1: 10 hours across 4 evenings — a rhythm that encourages rapid progress and deeper connection with the wheel => Sold out

OPTION 2: Lunch Time 12h-14H00 – minimum 2 courses. To understand centering, feel the sensations, and experience the satisfaction of creating some pieces, one course will not be enough if you are a beginner to start throwing. Additionally, the second day will focus on trimming.

OPTION 3: Private Pottery wheel course – morning or afternoon – individual or private group of max 5 persons – check with us the formula (in**@*****le.style)

OPTION 4: Private sculpting class – morning or afternoon – individual or private group – – check with us the formula (in**@*****le.style)

What you’ll learn:

•Centering and shaping techniques

•Creating functional and aesthetic objects

•Building consistency and control

•Experiencing the flow of daily practice

Schedule and pricing:

Week of July 20 (Monday 20 to Thursday 23 July 2026)

OPTION 1: Every day from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM – if the weather permits, we will enjoy the summer evening in our little garden.

Total: 10 hours

Price: €350 – Glazing – transparent- is included (if colors = EUR 35)

OPTION 2: Every day from 12.00 to 1.30 PM – From 20 July to 24 July

Minimum: 4h (2 x 2h) EUR 150 – if 10h (5x2h) EUR 350 and Glazing included

Spots: 5 participants only. First come, first served.

Children over 10 years old are welcome.

Any piece created and approved by Cathy will be fired.

A focused and inspiring experience to truly engage with clay and leave with meaningful, handmade pieces.

Practical information:

• Bring an apron or clothes that can get slightly dirty.
• Bring a dish towel and a personal notebook for notes (drawings).
• Materials and clay are provided.

Your creations will be fired in Cathy’s atelier and will be delivered in the gallery few weeks later.

You must be aware that ceramics is not an easy art, and the firing process always carries an element of surprise. Despite Cathy’s diligent monitoring, air bubbles can be hidden and may cause the piece to break during firing. This is part of the learning process.
