Quarter-sawn massive oak bench linseed oil finish by a Belgian craftsman. He has been passionate about woodworking for 7 years.
The seat is one board cut in half along its thickness, then opened like the pages of a book, to make what is called a “book matched” look. It creates a symmetry especially visible in the medullary rays. Reinforcements beneath, feet and diagonal braces are all glued in place.
Can seat two to three persons.
