carus is Benoît’s signature collection, in which he reimagines the myth of Icarus – not as a tale of failure, but as a flight of becoming – across five dreamlike tableaux, blending photography, digital painting, matte painting, composite imaging, and layered symbolism. This collection explores the artist as a modern-day Icarus: one who dares to go beyond the known, risking failure in pursuit of beauty and transcendence. Between sky and earth, the seen and the unseen, the works summon ancient archetypes, forgotten gods, and the whispers of the collective unconscious. Each image becomes a threshold – a call to rise beyond limits and rediscover wonder.
