Upcoming 2026 Ceramic Workshops: always new creative ideas to please you!
We are thrilled to unveil our first sessions for 2026! Whether you are looking to refine your technique or discover the magic of clay for the first time, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn from a master.
These sessions will be led by the talented Cathy Deprez from Terretceterra. Cathy is renowned for her distinctive teaching style: a perfect balance of structured guidance and creative freedom.
She is incredibly generous with her knowledge, ensuring that every student leaves with a piece they are proud of. Her primary goal is didactic yet liberating—she focuses on the technical integrity of your work so it survives the firing process, while encouraging you to find your own artistic voice. With Cathy, you don’t just make a piece; you learn the soul of the craft.

Paper Porcelain modelling
Explore the incredible finesse and lightness of these specific materials, allowing for delicate structures and translucent beauty.
Adding paper fibers makes the porcelain stronger, so you can roll it out thinner. The paper fibers burn away in the kiln, making the walls extra transparent. So it’s ideal for translucent pieces.
The paper fibers also reduce the risk of cracking and tearing. The porcelain is easier to work and assemble, and is lighter.
• March 20th-21st: Friday 20/3 (6-8pm) + 21/3 (11-2pm), 5h – EUR 160
Grogged Raw Clay with Effects
A deep dive into texture. Learn how to work with « chamotte » (grogged clay) to create unique, raw finishes and striking surface effects.
How it Works
Ceramics is a slow art that unfolds in several stages:
1. Creation: The hands-on workshop session.
2. Drying & First Firing: Your piece is prepared and fired for the first time (bisque).
3. Glazing (Enmaillage): Adding color and finish your work.
4. Final Firing & Collection: Your finished piece is fired a second time and ready for its new home.
Glazing & Pricing Details:
• Workshops: The glazing session is not included in the initial price. You will need to register for a separate glazing session (€35).
• Special Offer: If you enroll in all three workshops, we are delighted to offer you the glazing for all your pieces for free (a saving of €105!).
• Important: For all glazing, please confirm your choice of colors at least 4 days before Cathy’s arrival.
A Note on the Craft:
Working with clay is a dialogue with the elements. While Cathy puts every effort into ensuring the stability of your work, the risk of cracks or fissures during firing is an inherent part of the ceramic process that every potter must accept. These « surprises » are part of the unique character of handmade art.
Private Pottery Wheel Classes
In addition to these group workshops, we are also offering individual pottery wheel throwing classes on the same weekends. If you are looking for a personalized, one-on-one learning experience to master the wheel, please reach out directly so we can discuss the details and schedule together.
