Subtile is delighted to welcome the Luxembourg artist-photographer Anna Krieps for 2 weeks exhibition in the framework of the ART & SUSTAINABLE FASHION weeks in Luxembourg.

Anna uses powerful imagery to explore our collective dreams versus harsh modern realities. Her iconic isolated astronauts symbolize a yearning for « elsewhere » while our planet declines.

Works like « Astroselfie » directly critique our selfie-obsessed world, contrasting artificial staging (an explorer in fake sunflowers) with dwindling authentic connection.

Anna also thoughtfully examines women’s roles and historical absence, using archetypes (often embodied by her actress sister) to honor « forgotten » narratives.

Her signature technique? Hand-embroidering photographs. This traditional craft adds an intimate, layered dimension, turning each piece into a personal meditation. A beautiful, thought-provoking journey fully aligned with our 2 weeks theme linked fabrics in art.

Beyond her home country, Krieps has expanded her reach with exhibitions in cities like Paris, Berlin and New-York, solidifying her reputation for her introspective and visually striking artistry.

This exhibition is part of the event organised by Walking in Custom bringing together local artists and creators to celebrate local talent and foster interdisciplinary connections. This project deeply explores human emotions through contemporary art and sustainable fashion.
